BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA - CUB SCOUTS - MURRYSVILLE, PA
Pack 207 is a Boy pack, chartered by the Boy Scouts of America Westmoreland - Fayette Council. We meet weekly at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Murrysville, PA.
Prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
If you or your son are new to scouting, you probably have a lot of questions. The first of which is usually, "What do scouts do?"
In a nutshell, scouts are challenged to complete projects / activities that revolve around building knowledge and confidence in a variety of subjects such as:
General preparedness and safety
Proficiency in survival skills
Community Service
Understanding of Faith
Each week, your son will tackle a project or activity alongside his Den, which typically consists of up to 8 boys. While we have an official space for meetings, they will also happen at local campsites, trails, or parks as activities call for it.
